I'm looking for what I consider the easiest modular model ever.

You need three squares

1. You fold each one by its diagonal half, making and isosceles right
triangle.

2. You take each 45° tip, place each one on top of the 90° tip and fold,
making a square.

3. You crease the square by the diagonal line that separates both folded
tips.

4. This units have a "mouth" and two "legs". You connect them all by
inserting the legs of A into the mouth of B, the legs of B into the mouth
of C, and the legs of C into the mouth of A, and press it all together.

5. At the end you get a 3 unit triangular bipyramid.


Do you know this model? Who created it? What's it's real name? Where were
the original diagrams published?
