HI EVERYONE

I invited Leyla Torres (OrigamiSpirit) as the next guest speaker of Foldeas:
Sharing Ideas through Origami. Foldeas is a series of hands-on
presentations, each one related–one way or another–to paper folding, by
guest speakers from a wide variety of countries. They are cost-free,
through the Zoom platform.

Saturday July 25, 11:00 - 1:00 pm (New York) / 4:00 - 6:00 pm (London) /
8:30 - 10:30 pm (New Delhi). Limited seating!

The title of Leyla's presentation is "Mindfulness and Creativity with
Origami". At this session:

-Go on a folding journey to open your mind to creative thinking through
paper folding.
-Try a different way of folding, with the spirit of a beginner's mind.
-No previous experience with origami is needed to attend.

About the guest speaker: Leyla has been practicing origami since 1988 and a
member of Origami USA since 1994. For over ten years, Leyla has been
sharing and teaching origami on her well-loved website and youtube channel,
OrigamiSpirit.

Leyla was invited as a special guest to the Pacific Coast Origami
Convention USA (PCOC 2015) and Encuentro Internacional de Origami, México
(2014). In addition, she has conducted paper-folding workshops, in-person
and online classes for young and old, at international origami conventions,
libraries, schools, and businesses in The United States, Europe, and South
America.

The guest speaker of the last Foldeas session was Trevas Chuang AKA
Decadent Origamist. During his presentation, he shared different projects
in which he connected origami with world issues and also invited everyone
to participate in his latest one "Kusudama Of Vexatiously Illogical Dreams
(KOVID)". If you missed Trevas's, don't miss Leyla's!

in Polish sign language. During his trip to Poland, he made a hands-on
presentation for the deaf community.
