At the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, he handed to two local children with folded paper cranes that he folded by himself ....... He signed the guest book ...... and placed two more paper cranes beside it. In the guest book he wrote :-...... "We have known the agony of war....... Let us now find the courage, together, to spread peace and pursue a world without nuclear weapons." ..........
