Folks who attended 6OSME in Tokyo might have noticed a film crew running around waving cameras at people; they were shooting a documentary about origami, which was destined to be aired on TV in France and Germany. Think of it as "Between the Folds" with a Gallic flavor.
The French version has just aired, and an (official, I think) YouTube version is already up: >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lurF-GML5Qw A German-language version is still to come, I am told. Anyhow, watch and enjoy (to the extent that you know French, of course). Toot warning: I'm in it, starting at around 25:52. Interesting to compare with BTF, of course. At the first chord, I thought, "Oh, did they get Gil Talmi to score this one, too?" And a montage of flickering drawn patterns under a baroque piano accompaniment seemed oddly familiar. But there is much new stuff, some lovely cinematography, and some well-deserved faces and their work: the Demaines, Tomohiro Tachi, Tomoko Fuse, Kaori Kuribayashi-Shigetomi, Rob Wood from Harvard, and more.
