[Origami] Question: best modular units to make 3D letters?
Hello all, I'm looking for the best modular units to use for making three-dimensional letters - like a giant letter T, etc. made out of many units put together. Some web searching hasn't yielded anything quite like this, but I have no doubt that some intrepid modular folder can point me in the right direction! Bonus points if the modular units have intentional holes or negative space inside them/between them. All help much appreciated. Thank you, Eric Gjerde

Today, this image I saw when I was 6 has everything to do with who I am and what I have become. You can see the image here: http://backissues.com/issue/US-News-and-World-Report-March-02-1987 (I found it on this website) I want to thank everyone on this list who has been so kind to reply and help me in my search. I think now I am the happiest I have ever been since I originally saw this image when I was 6 years old. I just wanted to share this news with you all: the ultimate origami sighting! This is wonderful, thanks for sharing it. Origami can be positive, moving, exciting and life changing, all for the better. Regards Stephen Lancashire UK

You might check out this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NdFyZZ9z3N0 The project is a sword made out of dozens of small cubes. They are made to resemble 8-bit pixel art. I would guess with a bit of work you could convert the pixel cubes to any shape you wanted. Hope this helps Patrick B
