Re: [Origami] Did this kusudama unit already exist?... and a useful resource.

2020-01-03 Thread Gerardo @neorigami.com
This is part of a thread I've been feeding about my recent work with a
kusudama unit. The last message I sent was on December 24th, in which I
showed a kusudama made with the unit.

I also made the following kusudama by altering the unit a bit. Does anyone
recognize it from another creator or a similar one?

The following is a simplification of the unit I used.

Thanks in advance.

On a related note, I found this very useful resource for modular creators.
I thought I share it in case anyone was interested:

[Origami] The effect of origami on viewers

2020-01-03 Thread cafeina
The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco's (FAMSF) Annual Report, page 47,
shows 2 women viewing a floral display with origami from the Museum's
annual Bouquets to Art show.

The floral part appears to be multiple air plants overwhelmed by a
profusion of origami modular cubes, some in chains and some free standing
with a couple of cranes thrown in.

One woman is obviously intrigued and appears to want to touch the display.
The other woman appears to be asleep.
