Bonnie asked if it was ethical to offer as gifts folds of Yami Yamauchi's
"Fireworks" to people that make donations of a certain amount to a food
bank.

Bonnie, it totally is ethical. There's a big difference between selling a
fold of someone else's origami model and offering it as a gift as a thank
you for the donation made. You don't have to ask for authorization from the
creator to give your fold of their model as a gift.

The one important thing to have in mind is to please learn to fold those
authored models from legal sources. A pirated book wouldn't be one, just to
give an example.
