to do to fix this, but I appear to be wrong. Any other hints?

I'm stuck with the last stable release of OSG, v2.8.2, and if I recall
correctly, the most recent osgOcean requires something later, yes? Maybe I can
mix and match a bit...
But yes, it IS a reflection of the back face of the terrain.

the latest osgOcean. For now, I'll just move the land out of the ocean's branch
so it isn't included in the reflections. I'll come back to this problem later.
Thanks for the help, Kim. :)

Hi Chris,

I've tried far more that just this, running through quite a number of functions

searched the forums and the web at large for examples. I'm stuck.

Even the example app is black for me. Oddly, it's entirely black screen, except
for the text, while my own app looks normal except for the black surface of the
water.

If it can't be scaled to match the rest of the scene, what scale is it

Info like: width, max height, max rise above baseline, max drop below baseline,

This information is invaluable for doing complex alignments of text.

Hi, J-S...
My settup isn't much different than what has been reported previously in this
thread, by both people for whom this worked, and that had the errors.
OSG 2.8.2 (last Stable release)
osgOcean 1.0.1 (latest release)
Visual Studio 2008
And the errors for the first cpp with problems:
on how these values relate? I haven't yet found
one that helps me.
Thank you thank you...
