GDAL is a plugin to OSSIM.

Hi All,

Another long day of fixes and frustrations, but... I do believe bit by
bit we are getting there. The only platforms that I haven't heard
about are AIX and HP-Ux, the rest under Windows (VS, Mingw, Cygin),
Linux (various flavours), FreeBSD, OSX, Solaris, IRIX all look good to
go... Unless some of my final check-ins have broken something ;-)

So... just in case here's another rc 6 to devour! As usual details
are on the wiki :
http://www.openscenegraph.org/projects/osg/wiki/Downloads

Stable Release 2.8.0, release candidate 6, released 11th February
2009.

Please test this release candidate, and report success/failure to
the osg-users mailing list.

I will let this last rev get tested tonight, and then tomorrow I'll
tag mid day I'll 2.8.0. Then we can party! (Apart from all those
making binaries ;-)

[osg-users] HUD Editor?

2007-11-19 Thread Mark Lucas
Has anyone put together a HUD editor for OpenSceneGraph?

We are using OpenSceneGraph in ossimPlanet for global visualization
and it is being used in government installations where they need to
place titling information on their output. Some of the other tools
they currently use have 2D overlay templates that can be applied for
various types of data, organizations, and classification levels.
Before starting to write our own, we were wondering if anyone had
already developed anything along those lines.

TIA

Mark

[osg-users] Please test SVN version of OpenSceneGraph (Xcode)

2007-10-03 Thread Mark Lucas
Switched back to the Development Build Configuration under Xcode,
built svn 7547 again.

got 10 warnings under osgUtil (also received other warnings in other
sections of the build)
most of the warnings were invalid conversion from 'void(*)()' to
'GLvoid(*)(...)' under osgUtil

I have the full detailed build log if someone wants to look at it.
email me directly and I'll send it. (mlucas17 at mac dot com)

Still rebuilding, but seems to be going fine. Will report back if it
fails to complete successfully, currently building plugins...

Mark

Do you have the log from building? Did you get warnings as you built

Seems some don't have a problem, some get warnings, some get errors.

My version of Xcode is 2.4
 MacOSX 10.4.10
I built fine with svn revision 7540

just did an update to svn 7547

 Target AllStandardTargets, Deployment build configuration
didn't do a clean, all, but built from Xcode with the update, built
fine. Ran the teapot example, seems fine.

Let me know if there is something specific that I should look for or
 test.

I'm just reviewing the various changes w.r.t GLU made this week
 and it
looks like your XCode build is working fine with the new
 include/osg/GLU.

Today Adrian Egli is reporting problems with today SVN on XCode wthe
the error relating to changes include/osg/GLU. This leaves me
 mighty
confused, could it be that different versions of XCode exhibit
 different build behaviors?

What version of OSX + XCode are you working with?

 Hi All,

I have checked in a number of potentially breaking changes today.
Almost all made to try and fix things that were previous broken, so
fingers crossed we'll be a couple steps further ahead then we were for
2.1.13, but only testing will tell how successful this has been.

 Key changes are:

include/osg/GLU now has a new setting of the tesselator callback

CMake support for Qt3/Qt4 should now be improved.

CMake support for plugins under Mingw + Cygwin should now be
 improved.

Fix/feature enhancement to ShadowMap

Viewer/CompositeViewer refectoring has been completed, now both
 share
all their threading and rendering support with each other via
 the new
ViewerBase class from which they both inherit. This means
CompositeViewer now supports all the threading models that Viewer
does. The code is based on the original Viewer code so
 hopefully it
 will be sound.

Now all of the above could throw a spanner in the works for the
various platforms. I have tried to be careful with these merging
these changes, but there is always a chance of some things going
astray. Things work for me under Linux, but as ever I need feedback
 on:

   Windows - VS
   Windows - Mingw
   Windows - Cygwin
   Linux - various
   OSX - Cmake
   OSX - XCode
   FreeBSD
   HP-UX
   AIX
   Solaris
   IRIX.

Please test tonight. All going well tomorrow morning I'll tagg
 2.1.14.

 Thanks for your help,
 Robert.
