Re: [osg-users] github not synchronized

2015-11-16 Thread Robert Osfield
Hi Bjorn,

Thanks for spotting this. The old mirror routine obviously missed the new
subversion tags.

I have just added a git tag for OpenSceneGraph-3.4.0.

Robert.

Re: [osg-users] github not synchronized

2015-11-16 Thread Björn Blissing
Hi Robert,

When I cloned the code from the GitHub source I discovered that the
OpenSceneGraph-3.4.0 tag is missing. The code is there, but the tag is missing.
All other tags seem to be present, but for some odd reason this tag has not
been synced correctly from the SVN repo.

I solved it by manually finding the corresponding SVN commit which corresponds
to the 3.4.0 tag:
https://github.com/openscenegraph/osg/commit/7d9536b463a41a35ed4a65d6510e220e90721d28

If it is deemed important enough I guess it could be added manually? But I
guess it falls quite far down on the priority list...

Cheers,
Björn

Hi Robert,

Will this affect the submission protocol? I.e. will pull-requests at GitHub
replace the osg-submission mailing list?

Possibly. Haven't made any decisions yet. The key part of reviewing
submissions is the graphical diff to spot the how/why of the changes. I
haven't played with merging stuff via github yet.

Right now I'm busy so don't want to get too sucked into big discussions
about topics I need to do more research on before commenting too much.

openscenegraph user account on github. Things should go smoothly from now
on.

[osg-users] github not synchronized

2015-11-07 Thread philippe renon
Hi,
It has been mentionned recently that the GitHub repository is not synchronized
anymore.
Could someone shoot a mail to the maintainer of the GitHub mirror (if he is
still around) to let him know the situation.
We have come to rely on it to pull and compile the latest versions of osg.
Cheers,Philippe.

Hi Phillipe,

You can still use the SVN-repository as a fallback.

Yes, I know. Thing is that we have automatized the process of pulling from git
and buiilding. We are a hobby project with very little resources.
We could also create our own git mirror as described here :
http://www.openscenegraph.org/index.php/downloads/code-repositories/31-git-mirror#MirorringprocessDoes
 not look overly complex.
But maybe it is just a very small issue on the maintainer side.Btw the
gitorious mirror is definetly dead...
Philippe.

emailed him this morning about transferring the account to me so I can move
the OSG master over to github rather than have githib mirror the OSG's
