Doug:
I am next door to you in Peoria, Illinois, so I thought I'd respond. I would
be very careful in mixing other things into open space, or in trying to fit
open space into other space. At minimum, I would suggest trying to get a
four hour block to do open space, but I would make sure people

Thank you for your response. I have come to much the same conclusion, and
so have arranged for the speaker to now be one of the OS sessions. We'll
see how that goes. This stuff is exciting, yes?

Now, whow, how do you like this for German precision!
Congratulations, Jo.
I like the part with the gallery you organized.
But come to think of it, I would really have expected you to produce
that report between 5pm and 5:05pm!!
I had the opportunity to facilitate os-events of 3hrs, 3,5hrs,4hrs,

Interesting way to do it. That is encouraging for me! Thanks.

Hi--
Wanted to report back:
The speaker issue seems to be resolved: The speaker is willing to have his
session as one of the OS sessions, and do it not as lecture, but as sitting
down with the circle in his group. He will be with us all day, so it all
seems to fit.
Lunch can be done as a box
Doug,
You could ask the group but my sense is that however and whenver it
happens, what would be happening is the space would be closed, and perhaps
difficult to reopen. Dont get me wrong..Im not saying unequivocably that it
wont open again..whatever happens is the only thing that could have

As to the speaker, what if we had the participants decide when he should go

Good luck with your OS, I'm sure it will be a great experience for all

Doug,
Some folk have already given you a few good suggestions re the format for
the day and I doubt I can add to that. My thoughts are about lunch. If this
is possible, we had an open space day where lunch was able to be taken from
a central serving point to anyplace else..it was a light lunch

Thanks.
I am glad for suggestions beyond schedule. I will be talking with the hotel
people today about the lunch arrangements and will see what can be done to
implement what you suggest.

Doug,
Thanks for your posting and welcome to the list.
Open Space sounds perfect for what you want to achieve. Ive set out a
straw man timetable (see below), which takes 4 hours 30 minutes to
complete. The additional 30 minutes could be slack to allow for overruns, or
you could have a longer
Hi--
This is my first post to this list. Can someone help me with my first
attempt at something like OS?
