At the very least, uncheck "Pass along entire track". With that checked,
OsmAnd "insists" you cover the *entire* track. I imagine there are few
scenarios where that inflexibility is required.

Seems to be some sort of issue with zoom... parts visible in some zoom
levels and further parts in even more zoom... strange as parts of the same
path dissapers in th evarious zoom levels.. 50m vs 30 m.

I found a nice bike tour as a GPX track. It’s a round trip.
I want to start at a specific point along the track not being the first wpt of
the track. OsmAnd gives me the possibility to:
1/ specify the starting position.
2/ to turn on the option Pass along entire track.
I expect that osmand
