This is not what I need. I want to turn off only turn-by-turn
announcements but still have track points, nearby favorites or POI
announced.

You can even make this as a "two tap" shortcut on your screen.
Settings -> configure Screen -> Quick Action
Add the voice prompts on/off
And then you can move the Quick Action icon to any place you like.

Hi Max and thank you for your reply.
The storage was shown as "Multiuser Storage 1" so I have used the migration
feature to move everything to "External Storage 1" as you suggested.
It all seems to work just fine, so I'll see what happens when the next
upgrade arrives.
