There I wrote for iOS version: *app menu-> Settings-> General Settings->
Map orientation (to direction of movement).*
You can click to the Compass (left side of the screen). For viewing the
compass you should switch on it (app menu - Configure screen - Compass)
for your navigation profile.
Have you downloaded the vector maps of your country ?
Main menu -> Download maps -> Nord America -> United States ->
Standard maps -> download (arrow down)
Main menu -> Configure map -> Map source...-> Offline vector maps

It works just fine on my Android phone.
One of my devices has a compass.
On my device without compass I have two choices
North upand
direction up
On the device with a compass there is a third possibility where the map is
rotated such that its north is directed to true North.

without success. MTB trails that are available in OSM maps are not
available in OSMAnd maps ...
