It is not correct either to say that OsmAnd gets slower with more maps. When a map is downloaded or upgraded, it is indexed. That will take a few seconds. During use/navigation OsmAnd will determine, based on GPS coordinates, which indexed part of a map needs to be loaded. What slows down OmAnd
