If you press the navigationbutton you will find "Option" at the right side
choose it and you will find Gpx-route in that menu you will find "Gpx

Re: Bug with following a GPX route

2020-08-06 Thread Bart Eisenberg
When you are following a GPX and "Pass along the entire route" is enabled,
the navigation requires you to pass along the entire route. If you detour
from the route, OsmAnd will lead you back to where you branched off, rather
than attempt to re-join the route at another point.

I wanted to import a track.
I know to use an external file manager,
but to open every track, I need 6 clicks
I have 400 tracks (gpx files) then i will need 2400 clicks on screen to
finish importing all of them.

I get the same results. Pressing Start or Go always starts navigation from

would expect the "From:" field to now show my current position.

Re: [bug] Recording tracks with intervals > 1 min

2017-12-14 Thread gergyverjux
I recently switched to Locus Map and their recording track feature just
works as it should: switch recording on, and the timer and track recording
starts with a time interval defined in Settings. When minimizing the
application or when the display is off, GPS is switched off and recording
stops (but you can also keep it active). When switching the display on or
switching back to Locus Map, GPS is re-activated, and new points are
recorded, and joined to the previous track. During all this, the timer goes
on. At the end of the hike you have a timer indicating the total walking
time and a track made by joining any point recorded when the display was
on. I could never make this work in Osmand :-(

It seems that the circles are drawn as circles in the projected map.. Since
it appears that Osmand uses the same Mercator projection that Google and
other tiled map services do, a circle on the map will NOT be a circle on
the ground at small scale, and the distortion at that small a scale would
be apparent to the unaided eye. That's what I suspect is going on here,
anyway.

This has been an issue with several versions. If this is by design please
change it. Auto zoom is handy for some folks but, as others have mentioned,
dangerous if it forces you to constantly adjust zoom level while moving.

Re: [bug] wrong navigation route calculated

2017-04-06 Thread Jc Maxwell
Unfortunately, this is a somewhat common problem.

I live in a gated complex next to a freeway. If I start directions from my
house, OSMAnd+ instructs me to somehow jump directly up to the freeway (!).

Since the freeway is elevated and limited-access, what you actually have to
do is drive around to the complex gate, turn left or right, and go a mile
or so and a couple of turns to the nearest freeway entrance. As you noted,
the OpenStreetMap site plots the route correctly.

I've had OSMAnd+ do this also in rural locations. It plotted non-existent
connections between a secondary road and a freeway. In some cases there
were unpaved roads heading in the general direction, but terminating well
before the freeway, with no access. In other cases, there was no road at
all.

Nope.
See https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand/issues/3531

Disabling the GPX layer seems to "fix" this.

Re: [bug] Recording tracks with intervals > 1 min

2017-02-05 Thread gergyverjux
I experience the same behaviour. While the displayed distance is correct
when recording using continuous logging, it is not updated when using 60s
interval, probably because the GPS is switched OFF and ON. Only after
saving the track can one see the correct track length.
Look like the same issue as reported here

Re: bug in maxweight-routing

2016-12-06 Thread Peter B
In Europe there are separations for maxweight for cars and trucks
- up to 3.5t
- up to 7.5t
- over 7.5t
and according to theese separations different driver licences are needed.
It would be good to have theese separations as well in maxweight in setting of
navigation,
or
a edit field for free entering of numbers.

Re: bug in maxweight-routing

2016-12-06 Thread 'Yoshi1234' via Osmand
Same issue here with OsmAnd Offline Routing:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/directions?engine=osrm_car=51.72454%2C8.74414%3B51.72404%2C8.74397#map=19/51.72447/8.74475
maxweight of the bridge is 30 and prevents the car-routing over it if
weight of the uses car(1.5t) is choosen.
OsmAnd+ 2.5.4 (2016-11-22)
offline-map: Deutschland Nordrhein-Westfalen 01.December.2016
Phone: LG G5 Android 7.0, Android Security-Patch-Level 1.November 2016

Another Routingproblem but not the same is on the B1 (Germany). It is not
weight related. But the routing algorithm generates a large detour.
>From Lat 51.85038 Lon 8.91538
To Lat 51.85059 Lon 8.91598
http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/51.85059/8.91582
Same settings and map version
