If osmand detects you have reached the intermediate waypoint, it will direct you automatically to the next one. >or do I have to stop and tell it to continue? If the waypoint is far enough from the road and osmand considers it hasn't been reached, it will direct you back to the waypoint, so you have interest in rightly place the waypoints. I think there is some setting around where you can explicit the distance osmand considers a point reached, just browse the settings to find it.
