*Need local to CA only* Title : Cognos Developer Location : San Francisco, CA Duration : 5 Months Contract Position Description: The primary role of this position is to design, develop, and support of the overall Cognos Framework report model,Design and develop Business Intelligence reporting solutions(reports, cubes),Collaborate with Data Architect/DBA to develop/optimize theStar-schema model for the Cognos reporting tools.This individual needs to perform the following duties as a Cognos Developer Analyze existing Cognos cubes & reports and prepare for migration or re-creation using Query Studio and Report Studio Conversion and enhancement of existing Impromptu web reports and cubes from Cognos Designing reports with relational and dimensional data sources Understand and maintain Framework Manager Data Models Use Cognos Transformer tool to design cube models Requirements: 6+ years of formal IT application experience in a data warehouse and reporting system Experience writing complex queries on DB2 database Must have solid experience with Cognos BI suite- Report / analysis studio Ability to document work Solid experience with Data warehouse report definition and distribution, cube generation, bursting and security processes. 3 years experience with Cognos Report Studio Cognos Query Studio Cognos Analysis Studio and Transformer Cognos 7 Impromptu, Power Play, Access Manager and IWR Must be able to work independently and have excellent communication skills.
