Do to the nature of the positions, all qualified candidates will need to have exceptional verbal and written communication skills (9 out of 10). So they will be able to work on their own systems, pulling out the data from the Client (heave XML specs). They have 12 developers, all senior - no less than 7-10 years experience. They are using their FT staff for some of areas that require a lot of business experience and are backfilling their roles with consultants - who will be working of technical specs. However, they need to be good enough to catch gaps in the requirements and bring suggestions as to how to approach different things. Candidates have to be self-starters - we can look at Java developers out of PwC, as long as they are self starters and not sitting around waiting for someone to tell them what to do. Since the staff is so small, the consultants have to be able to hit the ground running. Auto claims/insurance experience will be a BIG plus, but not a must have - heavy database transactions is a must. They are ready to interview this week.
