Title: Progarmmers Location: Lansing MI Duration: 1 year Project will start in Feb 2011 Due date: 20th Jan 2011 Rate:$45 -$52/hr (keep it low) Description: Converts data from project specifications and statements of problems and procedures to create or modify computer programs: Prepares, or receives from systems analyst detailed workflow chart and diagram to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and to describe input, output, and logical operations involved. Analyzes workflow chart and diagram, applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic. Confers with supervisor and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. Converts detailed logical flow chart to language processable by computer. Enters program codes into computer system. Inputs test data into computer. Observes computer monitor screen to interpret program operating codes. Corrects program errors, using methods such as modifying program or altering sequence of program steps. Writes instructions to guide operating personnel during production runs. Analyzes, reviews, and rewrites programs to increase operating efficiency or to adapt program to new requirements. Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions. May train workers to use program. May assist computer operator to resolve problems in running computer program. May work with systems analyst to obtain and analyze project specifications and flow charts. May direct and coordinate work of others to write, test, and modify computer programs. Programmers capabilities with 1-7 years of experience, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of complicated tasks, may lead and direct the work of others, may report directly to a project lead or manager, a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Critical experiences and skills include: • 1 year of experience with the creation of web applications with a JAVA presentation layer • 1 year of experience with client side scripting including Javascript 1.2, CSS, and VB Script • 1 year of experience with object oriented programming concepts • 1 year of experience with PL SQL, SQL Navigator, or TOAD SQL tools • 1 year of experience working with Rational Tool The work can be described at a high level as follows: a. Create the web service architecture b. Create interfaces to each of the data sources c. Add business logic to help with automatic matches versus near matches requiring human intervention d. Create Interface documentation for use by DTMB developers or vendors who interface with the application The work described above will follow the Clients SUITE methodology SEM Express in three stages. These stages are Initiation Requirements and Design, Construction and Testing, Implementation. During the duration of the CDC Background Check these three consultants will be assisting with the development and testing of all business, technical and functional requirements. The tasks performed will consist of Java coding development in the clients Bridges environment, testing and assisting with testing of the developed code for accuracy and functionality both QAT and UAT.
