Hi Jason. The most obvious test would be to disconnect your RJ-14 cable (and the DS18S20 attached to it) and see if the bare DS9490R and it's internal DS2411 work ok. Please report what you get. I suspect it's an unrecognized short circuit or miswiring, but this is the first step in figuring it

Paul, Thanks for the tip. I tried it and, sure enough, see an 81-family DS1420. I'll try hacking together another cable and see how that works - hopefully the problems will be fixed. 2 quick quesitons: 1) Do I need to restart OWFS after adding a device, or can I just keep everything as is and
