Subject: [Owfs-tracker] [ owfs-Bugs-2651986 ] manpages .so problem

The manpages “link” to each other using p.e.

 .so DS2760.3

lines. These do not work in debian packaging system, but have to be

 .so man3/DS2760.3

I'm not 100% sure if this is an debianism or an bug in the manpages.

Thanks for the report. I'm a bit at a loss. At least in Suse, if I change
the file as you recommend in the /opt/owfs/share/man/man3/*.3 file it
doesn't work.

I did find that all my include files (things like "seealso") weren't
working because they weren't being installed. Now I renamed seealso to
seealso.3so and it seems to work.

I must say that the documentation on man pages is horrible. Clearly the
GNU project has pernicious effect on man pages, deprecating support on all
their documentation in favor of the useless info pages. Clearly an example
of fanaticism over function. Thank you for letting me vent.

In any case, can you find any more information on the best way to
configure this? What do other packages do? Is this something that is added
in the packaging step?
