Any suggestions on making statically linked owfs, owhttpd and owserver? Seems
like that would ease some of the installation problems.

I would like to keep it in the option to have shared libraries in the
configure script at least... Perhaps --enable-static should be
default, but it should be possible to configure with --enable-shared if
you want...
