I've noticed the same slowness thing in the web UI at multiple
installations. Can you open the web console (e.g. F12 on Chromium or
F12 for Firebug in Firefox) and see what request exactly is slow?

OC is running on an internal server, not accessible over the internet:
http://internalserver.local/owncloud. Therefore I've created the
following Apache rewrite rule:

I'd like to have two OC servers in sync so that clients can connect to
the fastest one (at the office to the local one, on the road to one
which has a good internet connection)... Maybe run mirall on one of
