Hi Robert,

When displaying images in the Author page Oxygen does not load all 
images in the memory so you should have no out of memory problems 
editing the Docbook file in Oxygen.
When transforming to PDF if you notice that the FO processor needs more 
memory to handle all images you will probably have to edit the "xep.bat" 
executable and give more memory to the java process.
