Microsoft's approach is useful but leaves a lot to the user to work out
like drivers and non-microsoft applications. Right now I am leaning
towards SmartDeploy for our needs.

barking up the wrong tree to look at Packer as a way to scale the
deployment of hundreds of Microsoft Surface Laptops to businesses?
