Hello,
I would need the OBS admins to wipe out the subpixel prj [1].
It is tad obsolete nowdays and borderline dangerous ;)
TIA

Hi Olaf,
Good idea I would probably recommend doing A-TW-k3b too and slowly move the
other one to obsoletion.
There is no reason why to have special k3b in packman.

Heya,
I asked couple of months why it is not branch from OBS and nobody replied.
I suppose we could kill it as it is now and convert it to the link layout
we have in place? Then it should at least build.
Cheers

Simply put we always should rely on the update system of openSUSE.
It works well for all and there is no technical reason for the multimedia
apps to be an exception.
If there are benefits for updating mpv anyone can open a bugreport or
create the update submission.
Benefit of this apporach is
Ok guys this is again half-assed solution with package suffixes and others.
We need to do this properly.
1) Have packman-essentials-Factory project
* builds against factory only
* links only factory packages
* links only factory deps
2) Have packman-essentials-Product project
* Builds only
Hello,
I've noticed that in packman we have k3b branched as git snapshot instead
of basing from OBS.

Okey, I will remove it then.
Just to play nice either mpv or mplayer should provide the mplayer2 to
allow user to migrate, otherwise they might get quite suprised their media
player disappeared. Any strong prefference?

Hello everyone,
as xmms is old as ages it is still used as multimedia player, but it pulls
in ton of things like gtk1 and libxml1 that are quite expected to have
security vulterabilities.
It would probably be good to:
a) remove it - everyone would scream
b) move it to some xmms repository to
Hello everyone,
How would you feel if we removed mplayer2 from packman. It ceased
developement in 2013 so it is much safer bet if you move to mpv or back to
mplayer. Sticking to mplayer2 is not the best bet for the future... :)

When I am trying to build localy kodi package I get following error.
Any ideas? It seems like the link between obs and packman is messed up.

Hello guys,
mpv built in packman for some reason uses libxkbcommon.so.0 V_0_5_0 which
does not exist at all on the repo.
There is just libxkbcommon-0_4_3.so and I have no idea where it comes from.
