[packman] Open Reduce

2010-03-11 Diskussionsfäden Илья Черных
Toni, is it possible to ask you to add some packages to Packman?

Particularly I am talking about OpenReduce, a computer algebra system
(see the screenshot
here:http://opensuse-community.org/images/5/57/OpenReduce.png )

It has been already packaged to RPM by Alt Linux team (the SRPMs are here:
http://sisyphus.ru/ru/srpm/Sisyphus/reduce/get) and works under OpenSUSE with
adding some additional packages from Alt.

Perhaps one of the other packman's is interested to provide a package?

AFAIR, you published a wishlist here:
http://opensuse-community.org/List_of_good_software,_missing_in_Packman_repository
and in our mailinglist.

And IMHO it is sufficient to ask once :)

Seems none of the packman team members is interested, feel free to try to
build the package in the OBS

or

for education related packages openSUSE-Education uses its bugzilla for
package requests:  http://devzilla.novell.com/education/

In that case what is your area of interest?

Education bugzilla does not work for me. :-(

[packman] Request for package Amaya

2010-03-11 Diskussionsfäden Willem Franssen
Dear Toni, Detlef and other Packman-packagers,
Would it be possible to package webeditor Amaya version 11.3.1-0 for
OpenSUSE 11.2? The bin file can not be installed, cause it needs
libcrypto.so.7 and libssl.so.7. Those libs are not available in OpenSUSE
11.2. Please see also: http://www.w3.org/Amaya/User/BinDist.html
I remember a package of a previous Amaya-version was available in
OpenSUSE 11.1. But now nothing has been left. Or could you give an
advise to solve this problem?
Kind regards, Willem Franssen
