Using openSuse 12.1_x86 and KDE 3 repo for a previous working install, and for
a brand-new install last night. Commandline mplayer works, as does SMplayer
through GUI, but GUI and commandline use of gmplayer does not work.

As an addendum, I just completed a fresh install of openSuse 11.4_x86 and KDE
3.5. Gmplayer works perfectly in that install. So it seems that it has
something to do with 12.1 but, then again, my original 12.1 installs worked
perfectly for gmplayer until just a few weeks ago.
