This is Hoborginc's model from deviant art. It started life as an M4 but I liked the earlier M16 bits and pieces that were offered as an option. A couple of years ago I built his AK47 and found it to be a bit trying as far as fit of parts was concerned, I believe he has offered an updated version of this now, so when I started this I was a little hesitant as to whether it would be the same as the AK47.
Thankfully this model is pretty good all round, some minor fit issues with a couple of small parts but no biggie at all, nothing a bit of surgery won't fix. Lots of detail and thought have gone into this although the instructions leave a bit to be desired, there was nothing at all about the internal bolt arrangement and the builder needs to look far ahead before building to make sure bits go where they are supposed to...just a bit of extra though is enough. Once again, as with the Thompson I built, his model is undersize if what I found out about the real thing is correct. Worth a look for sure.
