Hi,
I have a transient simulation where the timestep changes. When I save an
animation, each timestep has the same length in the resulting movie, so the
timescale is distorted.
Now I want to create an animation where the timestep size is taken into
account, so that the progress of the
Matthias,
Refer to section Animation View Header on page 128 (132) of ParaView
Users Guide v3.14.pdf shipped with the binary releases and learn about
Real Time mode, Snap To TimeSteps mode and Sequence mode. The Temporal
Interpolator filter (and Temporal Cache) may come in handy for your use
Thank you Karl, Real Time Mode was what I was looking for. I just hadn't
discovered the Animation View before.

Hi
We encountered a problem when reading a text tecplot file using both VisIt
reader and the old Paraview reader.
The coordinates (at least the Z component in the sample test) (not the X,
Y, Z, as scalar variables) are taken from different variable than the X, Y,
Z themselves. Due to that problem
Is there a reference somewhere that says what the color table format that
paraview can import is? I think it is some sort of XML file if I remember
correctly.
Thanks

I don't think it is documented anywhere.
It is easy to put one together though by exporting a color map by
clicking Save and then Export on the Color Scale Editor dialog
and opening up the resulting xml file in a text editor. It also helps
to look at:
Hi Guys,
I think it is minimally documented on the wiki.

A couple months ago I added 91 new lut's there. They are huge help for
making nice pseudo color plots, but they are cumbersome when volume
rendering since opacity is tied to each of the 256 color
Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for including the presets that you
came up with. Thanks again. My google fu was not strong today.

great! I have just spent some time experimenting with 3.14 and it seems
that the xml file format has not been updated to support the separation
of color control points and opacity control points. That would be a huge
improvement to support this in the xml format. by the way I also noticed

Great work, Burlen, and you are right that the xml file format has not
been updated to support the latest changes in color editor. Would you
mind creating an entry for this in Mantis?
Thanks,

Hello!
I am currently trying to create an EnSight Gold dataset that defines
a Structured Grid Geometry Mesh that is constant for all time values, but
the VARIABLES section contains scalars which change over time. This is
extremely desirable, as it reduces the file size significantly by

I am having a problem with the ParaView save stereo animation. The normal
window stereo is fine for the program and works great. However, when I go to
save animation and output images, they are not in stereo. I have tried saving
individual jpeg images for both left and right eyes, but they are
