Dear users,
I am not able to open a very simple HDF5 Pixie file with the last
version of Paraview (3.14), while the same file is correctly opened
and visualized by previous versions (3.12 ... 3.10) and by other
visualization softwares (ex. Visit, up to version 2.5.2). The file
I am new to paraview and vtk. (The paraview page I was on, pointed me here

When I start paraview (v.3.14.1, 64-bit), as installed using aptitude on
ubuntu 12.04.
I get dozens of messages that I don't understand, upon issuing 'paraview
', or any
other approach I have taken. Examples are
If you don't care what it says, you can do:
paraview 2 /dev/null
which will pipe all output to the void.
