[Paraview] Pixie reader

Dear users,

   I am not able to open a very simple HDF5 Pixie file with the last
   version of Paraview (3.14), while the same file is correctly opened
   and visualized by previous versions (3.12 ... 3.10) and by other
   visualization softwares (ex. Visit, up to version 2.5.2). The file
   contains a few multidimensional datasets gathered as a group
   and the corresponding grid. Everything is defined for only one
   cycle (Timestep). Therefore I did not define any Timestep_# group.
   I am sorry, I am not able to provide more details, but Paraview
   crashes after trying to select the Pixie format, without giving any
   debug hint.

   Do you know if there is any backward compatibility issue related
   to the Pixie reader, or if something has changed since version 3.12?
   I am using the 3.14 version of the precompiled binary distribution
   for MAC OSX 64-bit Intel.

[Paraview] Can I stop the verbiage that occurs when I start paraview?

I am new to paraview and vtk. (The paraview page I was on, pointed me here
. . .)

When I start paraview (v.3.14.1, 64-bit), as installed using aptitude on
ubuntu 12.04.

I get dozens of messages that I don't understand, upon issuing 'paraview
', or any
other approach I have taken.  Examples are below.

Paraview seems to work OK, though I am using it for simple visualizations
right now.
I do not remember having this problem (at least not to this extent) when
using a previous
version of paraview. (I think it was 3.4, which was the version supplied
via aptitude for
ubuntu 10.04.)

Is there a way to stop the messages, even if it is just asking it to run in
quiet mode?

If you don't care what it says, you can do: 

paraview 2 /dev/null  

which will pipe all output to the void.

[Paraview] Getting point values on pvbatch

Hi all,


I'm trying to get point values from several sources on pvbatch.
I'm using ParaView 3.14.1 with local client (single CPU) mode.

My pipeline is as below:

source.vtm
| --CellDatatoPointData1
|   |-/ResampleWithDataset1 (Input)
|   --IntegrateVariables1
|-Line1
| --/ResampleWithDataset1 (Source)
--ResampleWithDataset1

The original source (source.vtm) is XML MultiBlock including Pressure values.

Now I'm debugging my codes on Python Shell.
First I get sources as below:
 GetSources().keys()

Next I want to get these values:
a) original's coordXs, coordYs, coordZs
b) source's Pressures
c) integrate's Pressures
d) resample's Pressures

For example, I can get Pressure's range as below:
 source.PointData.GetArray(Pressure).GetRange()
But I'm missing to get each points' raw values,
and I can't find where the points' coordinates are.
Fortunately I can only get integrated value with GetRange()[0],
but I think it's not a good way.

How can I get each points' or integrated raw values and coordinates with Python?
