*Job Description:*
· As a Senior Developer, the primary responsibility is handling the
development and support needs of in-house applications catering to the risk
management functionalities of Mortgage Backed Securities.
· The candidate should be able to understand thoroughly the
end-to-end application development methodology, become fully conversant
with all tools to provide effective end-to-end application support.
· Application houses multiple components built using C++/C# and
that uses TIBCO based messaging services for communications. Applications’
data store is Oracle, a thorough knowledge of SQL is also one of the
qualifying criteria.
· Specific tasks include but are not limited to:
Design and develop components based on C#.
Familiarize with the applications, tools, feeds, databases, and
batch files etc that are being supported by the team.
Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered in
Production.
Provide in-depth application support for Trading and Risk
applications.
Contribute whenever possible to the development tasks
associated with other applications with in the product line.
Understand the bank’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
methodology
Work with other members of the BA/QA/Support team to improve
our processes, tools, methods, effectiveness and efficiency.
*Qualifications:*
The candidate is expected to be an extremely qualified
developer of the highest caliber, capable of independently extracting
requirements, deducing development tasks, and delivering components.
*Required Skills/Experience:*
7+ years in developing software solutions
At least 5+ years with C#
3+ year with messaging technologies
3+ years of experience in web based development using
ASP.Net, WCF, Angular JS, JQuery, Javascript frameworks, HTML and CSS
Expert working knowledge of C# and .NET
Expert in multi-threading and asynchronous messaging
workflows
Good knowledge of SOA tools (messaging, web-services, XML
libraries)
Good database skills with any RDBMS systems (primarily MSSQL
Server, Oracle and/or Sybase)
Has experience of the SDLC process.
Excellent communication skills
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
*Desired skills*
Experience with Gui programming (Winforms/WPF) is a plus
Familiarity with Mortgage Backed Securities (TBA, Pools,
Agency and Non-Agency CMO)
Familiarity with Mortgage Analytics / Risk / Valuation
