He is an old cadre of the PAC and served in the APLA ranks when the organisation started training recruits militarily from 1964 onwards. He is credited with opening the channels for training guerrillas in Egypt (during Nasser) and in Libya soon after the coup led by Colonel Muamar Gaddafi. I
