SABC Digital News has uploaded Tlokwe Sehume on his cultural masterpiece "The Village Square" Tlokwe Sehume on his cultural masterpiece "The Village Square" SABC Digital News Tlokwe Sehume has dedicated a significant portion of his life researching, understanding, practicing, teaching and challenging society's take on INDIGINOUS MUSIC. Those who know him always and without a shadow of doubt attest to how Sehume takes our culture, tradition and heritage way too seriously to take short-cut to popularity or an uninformed following. Best among his musical achievements is a project titled Medu-Nakeng which assembled a never seen or heard before ensemble that reflected the depth and wealth this country possess in ethnic or indiginous music. His latest work is a show called The Village Square and it focuses on language and music using among other things - praise poetry, indiginous African classical instrument and forgotten languages like Xun. [PAYCO] Fw: Evil Judiciary Strikes Again
Sent from my BlackBerry® wireless device -Original Message- From: The NewERA ad...@newera.neweracomms.co.za Date: Thu, 11 Sep 2014 10:18:52 To: mphi...@gmail.com Reply-To: ad...@newera.org.za Subject: Evil Judiciary Strikes Again Hi Mphiri Masoga To quote Lord of the Rings, there is a darkness in our judiciary system that does not sleep. People are being physically attacked in their homes by minions of the dark forces. A few weeks ago, we linked to the story about a woman who was attacked in her home by both the Sheriff and employees of KPMG (read it here: http://news.acts.co.za/blog/2014/07/cape-farmer-launches-r10-million-damages-suit-against-liquidators-after-home-invasion [1]). This article spread across Facebook and social media like wildfire, as well it should. Well, the same woman's husband was recently attacked... again. He was told to stop standing up for his rights and to hand over his property or else. You need to understand something Mphiri Masoga - the judiciary is perceived by the public to be a bastion of justice. This is not true. There is no justice because our courts have been turned into sick, twisted cartels in cahoots with sheriffs, lawyers, liquidators and other greedy thugs. We have watched judges so biased, that people in the Court watching from the gallery have burst into tears. We have seen Judges pull out judgments from their file, pre-written by third parties, and read them out without even listening to the evidence. Forged Court Orders are now commonplace. Always the bank or the corporation wins. The real human being being gets hammered. These are things you won't hear about in the ordinary press. However, more and more people, like the Oberholsters who were attacked in the articles above, are standing their ground. They have launched People Against Lawyers and Liquidation which you can support here: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=15716548975 [2]. There are also other Internet groups and communities popping up against corruption all over South Africa. We'll share more of these with you over the coming months. If there is one thing that the dark forces do not like, it is when enough people take a stand against them. Please support people who take a stand. Re: [PAYCO] FW: attack on party annual conference
Good Morning M'Afrika Mashilo Clearly you have made your decision to Boycott the conference so you are within your Rights to do so as much as you are entitled to your opinion. Please let's respect decision of those who are prepared to make efforts to re - build the PAC. We all agree that the PAC must Unite and come with a programme that will change the Status Quo and challenge the System on Pan Africanist perspective. I am not sure if your Branch or you as an individual is in good standing or is the one that you refer to when you make a mention of Unity of those who left PAC and those of PAM which you seem passionate about. PAM is a registered Political Party and is a Legal Persona and should not be a determining Factor when we are suppose to hold a Conference to redirect the PAC, as we move and on, we will differ on methods of how to take the PAC forward. Those who left PAC did so Voluntarily and I know a few that are back in the PAC and are active. Comrade Ray I am personally not pleased with your BOYCOTT CONFERENCE Campaign, it is growing tension and promote dis unity. You are contradicting yourself by condemning those who differ with you, failing to convince them does not necessarily mean you have to use knuckle dusters Boycott Conference. We are continuing Son of Soil with or without those who differ with us. Caucus 13/09/14 then Conference in Bloemfontein 27-28/09/14. To defeat factionalism and divisions, It is my strongest believe that PAC branches and members must achieve principled unity. Re: [PAYCO] INVITATION TO PAC NATIONAL CAUCUS - CONFERENCE/CONGRESS
Thank you Mo Afrika Mashilo PAC is in a state that is unacceptable and for that reason it is caucuses of this magnitude that will ensure that we chat way forward and March Forward. It is a fact that we can never see things the same way and that in itself does not necessarily mean that if Africanists disagree on certain positions then they are Factions. My observation is that there are too many Genius around the Bargaining Table which hamper progress in the PAC. Personalities and hatred deeply put the PAC in the state it find itself today. I appreciate the fact that MaAfrika remain to be members of the PAC though is the PAC they don't want, hence the Caucus is attempting to find the PAC people wants. Cde Ray it does not assist the PAC to have people talking in Corridors and Social networks and dismiss any attempt made to create a platform where people can air their views and put their positions across so that the strongest Argument Wins. Hence tis invitation is open to all PAC members not single - out any grouping, click or Faction. The PAC have no Luxury to correct this situation, for us to have Provincial Bossberaads is a brilliant Idea, but we need the Center to cater for operational needs of the party while in the process of healing and uniting forces. Re: [PAYCO] Elections
Month Afrika Matome I merely saying that let's implement what is contained in our Basic Document or come with Models or Ideas how we as the PAC can Rescue African Brothers and Sisters of our beloved Afrika. For us to deal with Revolution, really we can't attack elections as if the PAC is an Election party, which we are not. The PAC has suffered a lot due to Leadership Styles of other Leaders who were against Constitutionality, Floor Crossing, Ideological Decay, Internal Differences, Labeling each other as Agents etc. My point is those who partake and do their utmost best using little resources to ensure that the PAC remain in the Political Map. I don't mean to stir any conflict but trying to ask Ma Afrika to refrain from bad mouthing those Campaigning so hard ensuring that PAC fund its programmes. Few PAC members contribute financially to the organization, some don't see the need to fund without tangible well planned and organized programmes. In doing so you may inadvertently undo yourself in many ways and even project yourself as the angry one instead. I hope you are not, as you quite obviously exclude yourself from the general categorization of 'angry PAC members'. We must demand that the party does better and lead the revolution. This demand must be ever green notwithstanding who the leader is, and even if one day you become the leader this will be the test and the standard. We must never try to sound 'happy PAC members' at the fear of being labeled 'angry'. I do realise that you mean well, but meaning well is not enough. Leading a revolution requires a little more than the declaration 'to die for PAC' or better to live for the PAC. Let us lead in and outside the party. It may serve us better to desist from your line. That you should be grateful of the little that they have done as it comes from the goodness of their heart. And I fear that you might be giving in. No my brothers and sisters, these are our streets, we are the economy of the country, collectively we hold more power than the government. A bit about me I do not own an e-tag, Ok my name is Mondli Magwaza, a law abiding citizen and a married father of a 4 years old boy. I have a no criminal record and I pay most of my traffic infringements. I have never even been to a court room, I only go to police stations to certify documents. But in the recent issue of e-tolls I feel that I am ready to be executed for what I believe, I’m ready drive into a road block and declare that I won’t buy an e-tag and get hanged on the spot. Why I’m not getting tagged? Simple, because the road belongs to me and I have already over paid for it. In the 2013’s budget speech R32.9 billion was allocated to SANRAL for road improvements which came from society taxes collected from me and you. A little more than R 2 comes off every litre of petrol I fill in my car; this produces over R 40 billion rand per annum in revenue and is specifically for infrastructure development also known as my roads. I also pay my vehicle licence fees annually from which the Gauteng transport department raises well over R 2 billion per annum. Let’s roll back to a stone left unturned In 2006 SANRAL undertook the so called Gauteng Freeway Upgrade Project estimated at R 6 billion, which 5 years later ended up costing me and you over R 20 billion. This equates to over R 1 million per kilometer, which by the way was actually a few centimeters resurfacing of existing roads. Competition Commission’s investigation proved that the society was over charged for all the work, but the investigation was called off just as it was close to pointing fingers on the individuals that benefited from these exaggerated costs What’s e-Tolling In 2009 Electronic Tolling Company was awarded R 10.1 billion tender to extract money from Gauteng motorists through e-Tolling, ETC by the way is 85% owned by a European company KAPSCH, which publicly announced that they will earn R670 million per annum from the e-toll system. Take a moment to imagine the amount of Schools, Clinics and of course Roads (hello) that could have been built with all this money, don’t forget to breathe. The fuel levy mechanism on the other side goes straight to developing our roads, if this was really about the roads, the Treasury would have added a mere 9c to the fuel levy from 2006, by now they would have accumulated more than R 17 billion, more than enough to keep our roads in an international standards that we are used to (The freeways are there, let’s give it to them), while maintaining SANRAL’s credit rating and keeping them focused on building roads and us, the tax payers, on working to build South Africa to what it could become. This is not some national road in Malawi! Our head of state with his reasoning poses a question “Why should the whole of South Africa pay for Gauteng roads” well Mr President, excuse me for thinking like an African but Gauteng roads are South African roads, The entire country benefits from us driving
