It sounds to me, Tessa, like you turned down the volume a lot. Try sliding the volume up to 45 and see what happens when you record through your line-in on your sound card. Don't know what screen reader you are using, but in my case with Window-Eyes 4.5 standard and Windows 98SE, sliding up
