before reinstalling windows xp I would reset the cmos on the mother board by removing the battery. Everything you have should auto detect after that though you may have to restart the machine twice. Make sure you have a sighted person there just in case if you are blind. If that doesn't work I

Well now, I suppose the term expensive depends on how you look at the machine, if its from a point of view of accessability only then yes, it is a bit expensive however if its from the point of view of a very good quality hard drive recorder which has good specs then perhaps its not too

pops and clicks with goldwave

When I first started recording with goldwave, my recordings were smooth, no problems. Lately, I get lots of clicks, pops, crackles, etc. in the playback mode. I checked volume on all aspects. Any ideas? I'm really disappointed about this. ___
