Just a suggestion here, if its a mono signal could you copy it to the
clipboard, open a new file, paste a copy of the mono file into the
left channel and then paste another copy into the right channel
applying a 100MS delay or something like that? This may be helpful.
On 14/12/2006, at 5:31
The device I'm referring to will put one channel in one headphone and
the other channel in the other headphone.

Hi,
Unfortunately Soundsoap is totally inaccessible. I found that when I tried
to use it myself. You could use the Sony Noise Reduction package instead,
though you have to pay for it.

that sounds great but if these are truely mono headphones then they are
wired in series. The main line goes to one speaker and a line is taken from
that speaker over to the next so they get the same feed.

Go to your local radio shack store and tell them you want a y adaptor which
has a male stereo plug which splits off to a lef and right side and then you
can plug one headphone in each and you will get the stereo . these come as a

Ok, I have a set of noise reduction plug-ins, EQ plug-ins,
compression plug-ins etc which I bought over a year ago, I posted
information on them to another list quite recently so I'll dig that
out if I still have it and pass it on here. These plug-ins are the
most accessible and usable
Probably the best that you will be able to do is to cause a split second
delay in one of the recordings thus giving you a simulated stereo effect.
You could also phase them thus creating another effect of sorts. If the
recording is mono it is mono and there isn't much that one can do to alter
Certainly you can, set the system to standard stereo, that will do
the trick. I had to use my Pioneer system like that until I got the
extra cable required.
Your manual should give you information on how this is done.

There is no screen to see. You navigate with 1 round button. It can
go up, down, left, right and press in. You press the right edge to
go forward the left edge to go backwards in the program the top edge
to turn up volume the bottom edge to turn down volume and press in to
play or stop.
i'm not sure. I just got mine this year from audible. it is only 512mb.

the shuffle does not have a screen. you have a pause and play button with a

there is a slide switch on the back that moves from off, normal and shuffle.

Depends what you want I suppose, 250 sogns or thereabouts may be
enough for some people whereas people may think that 10,000 songs or

Ipod Nano is 8 Gig of memory so that's about 2,000 songs.

Hi,
Hi,
I did this with a guitar track. I used a very minor delay. If it's too
much, it will sound more like an echo, but something like 1 MS or so,
maybe even less, will give you a stereo distinction. It takes a bit of
experimenting, and I don't remember what I did exactly, but it did work
You guys are on the mark! Many of the older mono recordings from the 1950's
are produced in this way in order to get the stereo effect. I say go for it.

Absolutely, I used a 100MS example when I wrote about this to the
