Hi,
The only improvement I have seen in this update is that now I can't
preview a .wma file. They say that they have improved wma codec, but I can
see only degradation.

It is a telephone application, like Skype but without the text messaging
part, but not proprietary and seems to me to be more accessible.

Hi Gordon.
I was asking the same question a couple of days ago and got no responses.
The Script writer for jaws is a guy called Jim Bower. Unfortunately, I
have lost his address, but I'm sure that someone on this list will be able
to provide it for you.

Jim Grimsby did write them, but Jim Bower hoasted them on his site for quite
awhile.

I followed the link I just sent. Look for version 5.15 of the Goldwave
scripts, the second item you find if you search on that page for goldwave.

I don't think a Skype user can talk to anybody but another Skype user unless
it's land-line or cell phone, where Express talk users can talk to users of
all kinds of software and hardware.

Well, it depends on who's servers you are using, for example, it works fine
with Free World Dialup, but I did try some other service and there was a
real noticeable delay between when I said something and the other person
heard it. As for sound quality, maybe someone else can answer that as I

If you go to the download page on goldwave.com you should just keep going down
the page and you will eventually get to the list of places where you can
download the file from. I usually choose to download from the company's FTP
site. It isn't a very big file unless you are running a dial-up
So, where can a person get this software, and is it strictly from computer to
computer or can you go computer to phone too?
