you could try using the seek slider, which you can quickly move to by pressing
ctrl+tab one or two times. The arrow keys move you by one twentieth of the
track length, and shift + arrow keys move you by one four hundredth of the

Just tried David's suggestion regarding skipping around in Windows Media
Player 11 and this works with arrow keys alone and with control or shift
combinations. I also tried getting a WMA file to play in Winamp and wasn't

Would many on this list consider Total Recorder to be a superior product to
Sound Forge? To make things easier for me, I'm hoping those who have used
both of these applications might rate each on a score from 1 to 10 where 1
is very poor and 10 is very good. I would very much

the tab key once gives you the left channel, push it again for the right

I have a turtle beach Santa Cruz card in my back up PC.
This card is almost ten years old and it is by far, the best little card for
XP and the jaws screen reader. Clear with no pops, cracks or stuttering.
The only place you can find one is on EBay. You can grab one for around
$10.

a multy channel card has mike input, line in, line out, digital out and
sometimes in, along with some other features depending on the card and what
you want to do with it. i also just baught a sound blaster internal card
that is multy channel that cost me $130. if you want to make really good
i have 2 sets of speakers. i use the usb card for jaws. you can use
headphones with it if you wanted. the turtle beech card that i just got also
has a tiny speaker on the card.
