Okay, what is the problem exactly? I've had mine repaired without problem a couple of times, I know one place in Australia which have repaired mine for me once and I got an electronics shop in the High Street to look at it a second time. On 24/02/2011, at 2:01 PM, KEN REED wrote: > Hi Barry,

Yep, thank you for underscoring the point I've been trying to make, any good USB speakers - I think the one's I spoke of earlier are Bose - need that extra power from the wall. Having said all that though it may be that some new speaker models out there use digital amps, that being the case the

The ones I have which are the Bose Companion 5 multi media speakers do meet 2 of the things you need. They sound really good for speakers that are kind of small, and you only use the USB for the audio output. Sadly though you do nead to plug them into the wall. Other then that they are pretty good.

I disagree as you've just proved my points in my opinion. You talk of the cheap USB speakers at $20.00 being a load of junk? Well their's no disputing that but have you heard a cheap $20.00 pair of speakers these days that connect to a sound card or Ipod and which are powered by mains power? I
