Hi
I have a couple of questions regarding switch. I am using
the full version of switch, is there any way to minimise the
program to the system tray when you are running a long job
and why does switch keep installing add-ons, for example, I
have just had to restart my pc after switch reinstalled
Nch Software are notorious for that and in a way this is putting me off
even considering Switch never mind buying the full version. I use the
conversion features in my audio editors GoldWave and Audacity and they
do the job well done. Just my thoughts.

I could understand how that would happen given that the microphone is a moving

complained about i don't think.

I bought Switch a week ago and so far no add-ons have been installed yet.
Don't know the answer to your other question.

Hi
The add-ons will only be downloaded if switch needs them,
i.e. it depends on which format you are converting,

Yes, that's the way I originally bought Fission, saved quite a bit of money
doing things that way.
Audio Hijack Pro is an astonishing tool, take command of every aspect of your
audio on the computer, hijack it, record it it, redirect it and so on, no audio
conflicts to worry about either.
Found mine far too boomy, and the ten metre range was rarely attained. They
were comfortable and convenient. I miss them.

As the review pretty much states, they're not designed for music.
40 feet is a pretty good range so that wouldn't worry me all that much.
This headset is only $70 here so its not as though its a really expensive piece
of equipment.
Not particularly good for music by the sounds of things but for

I tried to send this earlier, but I never saw it, so I don't think it made it
to the list. I am pasting a message from one of our computer professionals to

Yep thanks, sounded pretty much like the Audio 478 Plantronics headsets I have,
no big surprises.
As for the Podcast? I'm very glad you mentioned this as I do a lot of cooking
myself, use various pieces of Recipe management software - mainly on the Mac -
and I use various electronic cooking
I saw a review of a program called checky that deals with add on software
such as google crome the different tool bars and such.
Just install checky and it is supposed to uncheck all of those options for

When I installed Switch last week, using Window Eyes 8.4, those check boxes
for Google Chrome and the toolbar were perfectly accessible, so I was able

I'm running total recorder on a windows xp machine with window-eyes 8.4. The
problem i'm having is that when I try closing the program it doesn't completely
close and sits on the task bar. if i try going to it on the task bar and using
a shift plus function key 10 to close it it won't close.
Yeah, I wrote to the developer about that, what you're seeing is apparently
perfectly normal.

Your problem is a bug and you have to go into your processes and close
it manually. I would love a solution -- this happens to me all the
time, I just close the program either in the process tree, or with a
nice powershell command I found. Then once closed you have to restore
your system sounds,
i don't think pamnela works with gw connect.

Hi Evan and don
These aren't toolbars that switch installs when you install
the program but say you are converting a folder with many
files in it and some of them are avi, some are mp3 and you
are converting avi to mp3 and then lowering the bit rate of
the mp3 files, switch seems to pick and
