As much as Bose users won't like to hear it, you won't find a Bose system or
product mentioned in an audiophile magazine but that's nice to say their
products are cheap, nasty and rubbish because that just isn't the case.
The products are reasonable at worst and the company is very good to deal

I have to say that the Jambox sounds good but to describe it as a toy is just a
little harsh.
The other thing I would say about your speakers is that providing a sample file
is never a true reflection of what the actual quality of a speaker system is

Yep okay, call me harsh and I can understand your point but I believe in being
frank and my description of the Jawbone Jambox as a toy is I believe well
justified, I owned one and I can't tell you the pleasure I had in throwing that
device into the bin.

You're absolutely right, the Bose Wave Radio does sound a little odd but then
again, the Soundlink - or at least the Soundlink Air I have - is a bigger unit
than the Bose Wave radio, I have a Bose Wave Radio II and its very nice
sounding considering its size but it has many disappointments
that's true!
As I explained earlier, you have more band width at your disposal and the data
for audio isn't compressed thus you're affectively receiving a digital stream,
similar to what the digital output of a CD Player would send.
There are of course a few things to bare in mind when using

I know audiophiles don't like them. I've seen it on youtube. People make fun

I always understood iTunes doesn't play Flac. That's one of the reasons I
stopped using it. That and the fact that it doesn't maintain it's library
effectively in Windows.

Perseption of sound and quality is subjective and therefore I tend to go with
what I like the sound of. It depends on whether or not you like bassy or toppy
or somewhere in the middle.
Make of that viewpoint what you will.
