At least with a stand alone radio you aren't paying paying and paying. There's
only 1 fixed price, assuming you pay for it yourself and it is not donated to
you by a church or some company and it is much simpler to operate.

The Ipod Touch has the standard 1/8 inch headphone jack and will work fine
with most speakers. If your speaker works with the stream it should work
fine with the Ipod.
I've successfully used the Ipod Touch to listen to streaming audio ever
since the first day I got it.
