Subject: Re: Archos jukebox 20 gb recorder questions
I'm terribly sorry if this was already asked, but accidentally deleted the
thread.
How can I tell which of the daily builds I need for the studio 20 and where
do I get the english.voice file?

If you use a recent daily build of the rockbox software and download
the voice file yes, the unit is quite accessible. The manual is not
too useful, it refers to their software which is not that great.

Hi.
You can set the recording parameters, input, bit rate, etc on the
archos, yourself with the Rockbox talking menus. The settings are permanent
barring a format or resetting them from the menu. A text version of the
rockbox manual is at

Do you know if the next release of rockbox will allow use on more
modern archos players?

Hi.
The next release certainly won't support any of the newer units, but
there has been discussion about porting Rockbox to other units, either
inside or out
Way to go Aman! Your pulling double duty today eh bud?
Keep on Rock-boxin dude!

If I have someone help me set the recording menus such as selecting line
input, bit rate and so forth, will the menus stay set once I turn the unit
off?
Yes
if I add the rock box firmware will the recorder become accessible?
Yes
