Hey Bob. I was using a rechargeable NiMH battery that was four years
old. I put a brand new alkaline in it and it worked like a champ in the
cool weather and after being in the refrigerator for two hours.

I got my old Sony MZB-100 out to record a bunch of Coyotes I found. I
had checked it out and it worked fine. This morning when I left to find
the
Coyotes it was 38 degrees Fahrenheit. Eventually the Coyotes start
singing
and I took out the recorder
This morning I tried keeping it in my shirt pocket under a sweat shirt
and a fleece jacket but it still wouldn't work when I needed it. I'll
concentrate on keeping the battery real warm tomorrow.
