Since I have never had any problem with Winamp Agent, and haven't gotten
any responses, why does everyone un check Winamp Agent? It keeps other
players from taking over the default.

I've just unchecked Winamp Agent because it's just another process I
don't think I need running on my PC. I don't install enough media
players, and I'm careful when I do, so I don't worry about my file
associations getting taken over. That being said, it's a good precaution
for anyone who is worrie

Ok in the first screen choose Winamp Classic and click next. On the next
screen you can leave the file types alone but uncheck use Winamp Agent
then click next. You might as well skip the rest and click finish to do so.

Jaws says you shouldn't use Winamp agent; however, I use it. It is
supposed to keep other players from grabbing the default from Winamp.
