turn table too fast, need to make adjustments with PC

2008-01-30 Thread stever2525
I am copying some vinyl records for someone, but this turn table is a half step too fast, in other words, a song that is suppose to be in the key of e plays in f. Can Goldwave fix this problem and how would I do this, or would I need something like Sound Forge. Any help would be appreciated,

You could do it in Sound Forge by lowering the pitch by a semitone, but I don't know about Goldwave. Regards, Barry Chapman - Original Message - From: stever2525 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday, January 30, 2008 7:05 PM Subject:

Hello stever25, I've had some turntables to do that to me too. If your turntable is a belt driven turntable, then that could be apart of the problem. Sometimes the belt is a little to tight. This is why it plays records a step to fast. Also, the motor could be a little off. If it uses the kind of

I have a connecsant AC Audio soundcard in my hp pavillion dv5220Ca notebook. I like it and see no reason of getting an USB soundcard unless you need more than 1 audio device. Tyler - Original Message - From: GianniP46 [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PCAudioList pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent:

What's wrong with the mic? I like it- its clear, precise, and picks up things far away (sensitivity level in there somewhere). But mmk, I guess its just oppinion, but I see nothing wrong with it. - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Wednesday,

I meant to note, that notebook is a great unit - I was to buy my wife that model, but she backed out not wanting to spend the money at the time. BTW: I noticed your headline at the bottom - the Mets have a much better chance now with acquisition of Johanne santanna with Pedro as his mentor.

Which notebook? Mine, nod, I like it. The only problem I have in regards to sound is the stario mix doesn't like being turned down, what I meant by that was that it doesn't like to turn the volume down even if its at 0 percent, putting it any higher than 4 percent makes the audio distort but

Albert, the Amazon downloads are encoded at 256 KBPS. personally I don't think Amazon has a good variety of older music. a lot of it seems to be tributes to artists and such. For example, Nat Kin Cole and Johnny Mathis tracks were pretty few in numbers. - Original Message - From:
