I used that software to convert a protected audio file before, but I can't
remember how I done it.
But this was more then 3 years ago.
I didn't care to much for Sound Taxi back then because of the accessibility
problems that I had with it at the time.

Well your right. You used to be able use it to convert to WMA using the
Nero Direct show plug-in for Windows Media version 9. MS closed the door on
that on a long time ago.
You can still use DeepProRam to convert Audible files.

From time to time, the lacer lens in those things will need to be cleaned.
I had a CD ROM drive that wouldn't burn CD's.
Some CD's, it wouldn't play either.
I only had it for more then 2 years.
But when I put a lacer lens cleaning disc in it, I didn't have those
problems any more.

It also depends on how comfortable you are with different ways of doing
things. Sound Forge and Gold Wave, for example, employ vastly different
editing techniques. Some people find Gold Wave's method to be easier and
can't get their minds around Sound Forge's method, and some find Sound
And goldwaves added accesibility features seem to be starting to perhaps
give an advantage to goldwave users now as some are saying SF 9 is getting
some what less accessible in ways.
